Yoshino cherry blossoms, or Somei Yoshino, are popular cherry plants. They grow all over Japan except in the northern and central parts of Hokkaido and Okinawa Prefecture. The flowers are oval with five petals in white, a single beautiful color. The blossom season starts in early March and ends in mid-April.
